BLACK LIVES MATTER | COMPANY STATEMENT

ROCKNEVENTS AND ITS SISTER COMPANIES, INCLUDING VOWLÁ, AND ROCKNUNIVERSITY STAND IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE BLACK COMMUNITY IN BRINGING JUSTICE AND AWARENESS TO THE RECENT DEATHS OF GEORGE FLOYD, BREONNA TAYLOR, AHMAUD ARBERY, AND THE SEVERAL OTHER BLACK LIVES TAKEN AWAY DUE TO THE SYSTEM OF INJUSTICE. WE WILL NOT BE SILENT BYSTANDERS BUT INSTEAD USE OUR PLATFORM TO SPEAK OUT AGAINST THESE INJUSTICES. IT IS OUR JOB TO RECOGNIZE OUR PRIVILEGES, EDUCATE OURSELVES, AND HOLD EACH OTHER ACCOUNTABLE.

OUR DUTY:

As event planners, we service celebrations. Weddings, corporate events, and special events are for everyone. Celebrations come in all different colors, shapes, and sizes. Celebrations come from all walks of life, but we are not to judge celebrations. We are to create magical moments and ensure that every celebration is given the utmost attention. It is our duty, not just as a company, but as people, to fight against the systems of injustice and racism. It is our duty to stand together, against the injustices that are occurring to the Black community: including the murders of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless other Black lives taken away due to the system of injustice. We refuse to stand idle in witnessing the cruelty that is being imposed on innocent citizens of this country by the same government that is supposed to protect us.
